Review: NEW NYC Cityproof 24hr waterproof eyeshadow

Hey guys!

This blog post, is reviewing the new 'NYC cityproof 24hr waterproof eyeshadow'. They were released around the middle of January, retailing at £3.49 and available in 6-8 colours, ranging from creams, bronze, blues and greens. Colours to suit everyone. The packaging is just simple, basically like how other eye crayons are designed, it wines up so you don't have to worry about sharpening it. You get 2g of the product so it's a good amount of product and would last a long time. I think the packaging doesn't look cheap, its quite nice to display with your make up collection too. Its money well spent I think.

The two colours I purchased were...
- 625 Rockefeller Center Snowflakes (white)
- 650 East River Romance (blue)

They're a dry creamy formula, they blend easily due to the colour pay off not being that great. The colours tend to have a slight metallic look to them which I prefer on an eye crayon because it means they're more creamier. They claim to be waterproof too, which they're are, they also don't smudge once they have set. I tend to use the blue on my waterline and under the bottom lash line, and it doesn't smudge or budge all day either. The only thing I don't like about these eye crayon is I prefer them to be more creamier, but if you have oily eyelids that don't hold eyeshadow very well then these would be great as an eyeshadows or a base.

Overall the colour pay off is average, but for only £3.49 each that's sort what you expect but they're still a great product for the price and they have a good range of colours too. I think the lighter shade is great for a brow bone highlighter too.

I hope this review was helpful and hope you enjoyed reading this too!

Review: NEW Benefit Roller Lash!

Hey Guys!

This blog post is reviewing the new Benefit 'Roller Lash' mascara. I recently heard that Elle magazine had a sample size of the mascara in there March issue, so I thought I would pick the issue up and give it a go.

The packaging of the product (sample size) has a premium like feel. I really like the pink and the black packaging, it is really nice to look at. Obviously would look great in your make up collection/ display too. The brush is also great, its a plastic brush quite similar to the 'they're real mascara'. The curve on the brush means it fits round the lashes perfectly, as I find most mascaras that have a curled like brush are too curled and don't fit nicely round the lashes. (if you get what I mean) The brush brings out the right amount amount of product and doesn't clump on the lashes either.

The mascara claims 3 things...
- 97% said it visibly lifts lashes
- 87% said it gives long lasting curl
- 94% said eyes look more wide open

I agree with all the claims Benefit makes about this mascara. From the picture below I took two photos of one before I applied the mascara, you can see my natural lashes are more short and have a slight natural curl in them. In the second picture is where I applied 1-2 coats of the mascara. You can instantly see a massive difference! My eye look more wide open, it lifts my lashes and gives more curl in my lashes, I only applied 1-2 coats of the mascara and you can defiantly build the lashes even more. The mascara separates the lashes and makes them more fuller and adds length - but doesn't CLUMP! (woo). The wear of the mascara throughout the day is great, it doesn't smudge underneath the eyes and keeps the curl in for most of the day too. It is also easy to remove with any normal make up remover (wipes/liquid). I really am impressed with this mascara, I actually prefer it to the 'They're real' mascara.

The release date for the new Benefit 'Roller Lash' mascara I think is the 12th of Feb. If you can grab this months Elle magazine, then do it! Only £4 for the magazine and a sample size which is world exclusive.

Thanks for reading this post and that it has been helpful. The mascara is worth buying!

Review: MAC PRO LONGWEAR

Hey Dolls...

So this is a review on the MAC Pro Longwear, as you all know this product came out ages ago but I only purchased it last year October time. I was trying to find a foundation to suit my skin type and coverage that I wanted, I was looking for a foundation that is for oily skin, full coverage, and stays on all day. So I went to MAC to try and out some of there foundation as they give testers of foundation to try. I tried Studio fix and Studio sculpt and I didn't get on with either of them (didn't stay on, left my skin looking patchy throughout the day) The lady in MAC recommended me the Pro Longwear and I instantly fell in love with the product.

This foundation is quite thick, and give full coverage (I wouldn't advice this to anyone who likes more thinner foundations) as this foundation is thick it blokes your pores, so it causes you to break out. I found that my skin was getting a lot more breakouts then I normally do, especially on the forehead area and just above my jaw bone. But because this product suites my needs  I still use it because I love the coverage, it just means you have to be committed to putting on skin care products on every morning and night.

But I honestly have to say this is the best foundation I have ever used. I have been looking for a foundation like this for years, I have been trying out various high street foundation and high ends and nothing I have tried compares to this.

I find that its easier to blend the foundation with your fingers as I found that using a brush doesn't apply the foundation as thick as I want it, it sit really nice on your skin and covers brilliantly. I just set the foundation with MAC studio fix powder and the products together give me the coverage that I want. For £25 I think its an amazing price, I've been using this foundation like everyday since October 2013 and I've used just under a 1/4 already in like 3 months and I've worked out that this foundation will last me a year. I also worked out that the foundation I was using before Rimmel London wake me up, I used a bottle every 2-3 months costing around £8 a bottle it would cost me £32 a year on foundation which is more then the MAC foundation.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a full coverage foundation, and you want it to last all day. I wouldn't advice this to anyone who has spotty skin and this will make your break outs even worse.

I hope this review helps. Thanks for reading

See you soon

Review: Pearl Drops Tea & Coffee

Hey Dolls...

So recently I picked up the Pearl drops tea & coffee tooth paste. As I've already tried pearl drop whitening tooth pastes before why not try another? As I'm a true British girl, I like to drink a lot of tea as it tastes so damn good right? And tea definitely stains my teeth. Everyone wants that perfect white 'Hollywood' smile, and yellow teeth is promoted as a very good look! As I'm the sort of person who is very uptight and I always have to make sure I have lovely white teeth, I always have to use some sort of whitening tooth paste. As I had braces and now have straight teeth I want the whole look (white teeth as well) So when I saw this product on offer I thought I'd get it as you cant go wrong with pearl drop products as they are great!

I actually have no negatives! Actually no only one which is not a big deal, I just personally think they should have more tooth paste in the bottle as 50ml doesn't last very long does it? Anyway that's the only negative I have about this product!

Positives there are just soooo many! This product is amazing it actually gets the stains out from tea off my teeth and other stains (from sugary foods). It leaves you mouth really fresh, you teeth feel nice and smooth. They look lovely and white and clean. Its a lovely minty taste as well. The applicator allows you to add the right amount of tooth past on your tooth brush, as other toothpaste products I always end up with a big clump of toothpaste on my brush (which you don't really want) and you end up wasting a lot of it but with this pearl drops product you dont! Its just a lovely product that actually does the job its says on the label and I recommend anyone to get it!

This is a totally random review as its not really beauty/make up related but having white teeth is part of beauty to me well thats what I think, because after you've applied your make up and done your hair and you look all beautiful and glamorous you don't really want yellow teeth do you? Thats my opinion anyway.

Which Pearl Drop product do you like the best?

See you soon

My current go to products!

Hey Dolls...

Hope you all are having a good week so far! This weather is just getting a tad annoying now, but we do get the occasional day where it is sunny and a bit warm here in the UK. These items are my current go to products at the moment.

The sunny days have come in handy for me so I can wear my lovely sunglasses (from primark) and I keep them with me all the time because you never know when the sun will pop out in the UK. The Sanctuary Green Tea & Jasmine perfume, is a really nice sweet smelling scent, that makes you smell fresh! The Cocoa butter Vaseline is just a must have, its always with me everywhere, I cannot go anywhere with out a tin of Vaseline, because the dry lip look isn't a nice look to go for. Especially the weather is still a tad cold as well, so your lips get really dry and damaged easily, so this is a go to product. The Barry M nail varnish in Pink is also a go to product simply because nails look really dull and boring with out nail varnish on and this Barry M nail paint, is bright and I just love it! The Revlon colour burst lip butter in sugar frosting, is a really nice pink, with a slight metallic look to it, its not too bright, it gives shimmer to your lips as well. I always love to have a bit of lippy on. The No7 Intense Volume Mascara is also another current go to product, as its a really nice mascara that defines your lashes and can be easily applied throughout the day, and who doesn't love mascara?! And finally one the products that I have to go to is the Elf Studio blush in candid coral, which is a very gorgeous peachy shimmery colour, that makes your cheeks look glowing, fresh, pretty and makes your skin look natural as well, I just love this blusher and its definitely one of my favorite products ever!

There you have it my current go to products, hope you liked this post!
